Event Coverage: The Mastermind Luncheon

Spearheaded by the Mastermind himself, Demetrius Faison (De'Veilope Experience), I had the distinct honor of being the photograpHER for the Kickoff of "The Mastermind Luncheon". It was truly an inspiring event that brought together creative minds, ambitious professionals, and powerful conversations, all set against the luxurious backdrop of the Westin Raleigh-Durham AirportHotel.

From the moment guests stepped into the venue, they were greeted with a stunning and energetic yellow-themed décor that immediately set the tone of the day. The vibrant hues weren’t just eye-catching, they were invigorating, making the space feel alive with possibility and connection.

As attendees entered the event space, they were offered a unique opportunity of an on-location branding headshot.  Whether destined for LinkedIn profiles, Websites, Instagram, Facebook, or other Social Media  platforms, these portraits provided a polished and modern way to elevate their digital presence.

Once everyone got settled, the host took center stage. With charisma and authenticity, he began to share deep insights about navigating the business world (offering the kind of wisdom and "golden nuggets" that successful entrepreneurs often keep close to the chest). It was more than motivational; it was actionable, meaningful, and real.

And then… the food. OMG, the food!

The culinary journey began with a Summer Crab Croquette that was crisp, flavorful, and full of seasonal freshness. Guests then had a choice of entrees, each more mouthwatering than the last:

• Pistachio-Crusted Lamb Chops with plum and charcoaled roasted vegetables

• Citrus Poached Cod on a bed of crispy Jollof rice, paired beautifully with okra and cabbage

• And for the vegetarians, a delightful Corzetti Vegetarian Pasta that looked just as stunning as it tasted

As if that wasn’t enough, the grand finale came in the form of a Summer Pavlova; light, sweet, and the perfect ending to a spectacular meal. Muah!

It was an event that nourished both the mind and body. And I was so honored to have captured it through my lens: the style, the substance, and the spirit of a cohesive community ready to take on the world.
